Honor plans to sell smartphones through offline medium

Lots of exciting deals also up for grabs

Honor, an independent Smartphone maker under Huawei Terminals, today announced its plans to go into offline market for the sale of its latest Smartphones, so customers can now buy Honor smartphones offline.

Honor has partnered with Zopper, a hyper-local marketplace for consumer durables and home appliances in order to sell its Smartphones through offline stores. With the said move, the company aims to strengthen its presence in the market and improve its market share.

Till now, Honor Smartphones were only available for purchase through ecom giants Flipkart and Snapdeal.

With this latest move, Honor in collaboration with Zopper is poised to reach out to 267 outlets in Delhi NCR( Gurgaon, Faridabad), Chennai, Vellore, Pondicherry and Bangalore.

To benefit its new offline customers, the company has introduced several offers on purchase of its Smartphones. The prices of the products would be the same as they are on the online platform i.e. Honor 4x will be priced at 9999/- for both Black and White variants and Honor 6 will be available at 14999/-

What is Zopper and How to Buy Honor Smartphones Offline?

Zopper is an app that asks a potential customer to choose the retailer with the best price for a product, from over 10,000+ online and offline retailers. This strategy gives a customer to choose a retailer of its own choice.

Customers can avail a 5% cashback on all Honor Smartphones up to24th December and they will also be benefited with a free 1-year accidental damage/liquid damage bought through Zopper.

Mr. Allen Wang, President of Consumer Business Group, Huawei India said,

“We are very encouraged with the response we have received for our smartphones in India, including the Honor 4X and Honor 7. To reinforce our commitment towards our customers in India, and allow a higher level of access to smartphones, we have decided to introduce smartphones in the offline sales channel, which starts with the tie-up with Zopper, which allow customers to choose the retailer offering the best price for a product”

Conditions to avail the offer through Zopper:

  • The offer is applicable only against purchases of Honor 6 and 4x smartphones
  • Maximum cashback amount per transaction is 5% of invoice value or Rs. 750 whichever is less
  • 1 year damage insurance/liquid damage from Zopper
  • The cashback amount will be credited to the Zopper app by 31st December 2015
  • Offer can be availed only once by a customer

The company has also announced the launch of http://www.hihonor.in, an exclusive online platform for consumers to get a first-hand understanding of Smartphones and also share their brave stories.

With this latest move, Honor will aim to expand deep into the Indian Smartphone market. The offline sales of its Smartphones will open up its business across all geographical locations and almost certainly in rural areas where online shopping is still at a very nascent stage.
