Xiaomi MI TV 3 with 70 inch 4k display Launched

Chinese Smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi, has announced the launch of 70” Mi TV 3, the biggest television launch by the company yet. This particular version of Xiaomi MI TV 3 succeeds the previous launch by Xiaomi of 60” MI TV 3 back in October 2015. With the launch of MI TV 3, Xiaomi aims to compete with the likes of Samsung and LG’s UHD TV range.

The 70-inch Mi TV 3 is currently the biggest television offering from Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Mi TV 3 comes packed with a 70-inch UHD display. The display is provided by Sharp. The Xiaomi Mi TV 3 is powered by quad-core 1.4GHz Cortex-A17 processor and graphics are duly handled by a Mali-760MP4 GPU.

The Mi TV 3 sports a 2GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB internal storage. The TV which tries to ride its luck in the Smart TV category supports connectivity options like Ethernet port, micro USB port and full-size USB 3.0 port among others. The said Smart TV also provides three HDMI ports and has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. The TV also supports plenty of video formats including H.265 4K at 60 or 30fps.

According to a recent post put out by Xiaomi, the Mi TV 3 70 inch uses Mi TV Bar to link the display. The Mi Tv Bar is a powerhouse and packs in a MStar 6A928 processor.

Xiaomi’s Mi TV 3 comes with a color gamut of 85% NTSC. The TV has a refresh rate of 120Hz. The TV also has 2.5-inch stereo speakers with Dolby Virtual Surround Sound and Bass Boost.

The Xiaomi Mi TV 3 is priced at 9,999 Yuan (approximately Rs 1.01 lacs) and will be limited to Chinese markets for now. However, considering the specifications the MI TV 3 offers, its price still seems to be a bargain.
